Historically you have heard about my kind. Light skin, not quite white, far from black. Attitude like a mad black woman. Long curly hair.

Sorry that I fit in every picture, but mix better with deep black and pain. And like the stories my ancestors share. 
Sorry I rather have bare feet and a sore back. Instead of holding out my hand. Go to the community swimming pool instead of the fair.

Not sorry. I am me. Beautiful as ever in my skin. I don't care if I don't fit in your version of normal.
