Snow Day

The snow. It's beautiful to look at, but disruptive and dangerous. Some would say the same about a "prisoner", "convict", "inmate". No snowflake is the same, every woman has a name. So why do they say "hurry up and wait offender?! Go shovel that snow, but don't touch it and no snow angels!" Discard our feelings like the snow that's plowed on the edges of the walkways and streets. Because it's a snow day? No because they have the power and we have the inmate number. I just want respect. Why does the world stop and everything shuts down because of the snow, but it's normal operations when the power itches to be enforced? Does anyone care about this storm that wreaks havoc on the soul daily!?

  1. When you shovel the snow, in a sense you are touching it. Nicely said...
